Book Cover Design
The Problem
An independent author needed a compelling, market-ready book cover that would stand out on both digital storefronts and physical shelves. The challenge was to visually capture the core themes of the book while adhering to the specific genre expectations and the author's personal vision.
The Result
The final cover seamlessly blended striking typography with thematic illustrations. The author was thrilled with the result, and the project served as a great exercise in translating abstract literary concepts into a concrete visual identity.
The Process
This project required heavy collaboration and visual storytelling. I started by sketching multiple conceptual layouts and typography treatments. I then established a formal feedback loop with the author via email, presenting mockups and clearly explaining the design rationale behind each choice.
By actively listening to the author's feedback and navigating multiple rounds of revisions, I refined the layout, color grading, and typography to deliver a polished, print-ready final asset.
